Just had us a 4.4 earthquake. Nothing major here in Mountain View, maybe 30s of shaking, but it was the strongest quake I've felt since moving out here.

Ugh. So much going on and no time to write about it. I have a housemate moving in this weekend so I *have* to have the house ready by then. And, of course, I tried to fit all that work in with my job and my full social schedule.

I pulled it off, bitches.

I just managed a three hour cleaning stint in the garage wherein I completed what I'd estimated at 2-3 days (at my normal levels) of work. Not only did I meet my primary goal of clearing space to move the washer and drier to install the laundry sink, I also met my stretch goal of parking the Mustang in its spot in the garage. But there's more. I *also* have room to store the piano that's coming out of Christine's room on Thursday while I figure out what to do with it.

I really would like to have the time to write more about the GTi. And the Exige. And the StimuLA festival. And Brazil. Etc. Sigh.

Rob just had a kid so I'm having a local Pacifica shop, Seaview Tire, install a fresh set of R888s on the Exige. They've done good work on tires for the GTi and C230 so I'm not too worried, but man I wasn't willing to give them the car. Too many bad visions of Qball's Elise combined with an unwillingness to be insulting firm and insist that they only use a floor jack to lift it. It was more acceptable to me to just throw it up on stands and take in the wheels, especially since I already needed to (partially) lift it for an oil change.

Ah, the joys of being single.

I mopped the floors.

And I bought some new clothes for the dogs. I'm disturbed by how much I enjoyed buying dog clothes. Stupid dogs.

Oh yay. It's time to smog the Mustang again.

Hard to believe the car is already eight years old. Only 67k on the clock. Not bad, considering that I put 35k on in the first eighteen months.
